Jazz in Great Harwood

Peanuts Hucko
Peanuts Hucko     December 1977

What a contrast from the previous month, Peanuts Hucko was an urbane American clarinet player who communicated with his audience and who treated the music as entertainment in the best sense of the word.

The bass player in the background is Norman Fisk - veteran of many nights at Great Harwood.

The second time Peanuts came Stan Barker lost the Americans music down the back of the piano- some cruel people said it was because there were too many dots!
